RI gets EPA grant to help auto salvage businesses, Providence Business News, Boston
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $200,075 to Rhode Island for a program to measure the environmental performance of auto salvage yards and provide on-site compliance assistance to salvage yards through a multimedia approach. The grant is one of 12 awarded nationwide, including three in New England. Maine got $152,000 for an "environmental results" program for auto body and repair shops, and Vermont got $200,000 for a self-certification program for retail gas stations. The money comes from an "innovation grant" program at the EPA geared to strengthening the federal agency’s partnerships with states and Native American tribes. The program supports projects aimed at improving environmental results across industry sectors by using compliance assistance and other innovative tools. Rhode Island’s grant will be administered by the state Department of Environmental Management, which has undertaken several initiatives to help businesses reduce and prevent pollution.

How’s Business?
"Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve
." Mary Kay AshEmbracing Change to Achieve Your Business Goals
In today's business world, nothing is more constant than change. And in our cyber-savvy age ... where major industry changes can occur in the blink of an eye ... nothing is more integral to your organization's continued success than its willingness to embrace change as an opportunity rather than reject it as a threat. There's no time like the present to review the past year, make changes and set some solid goals for your growing business. Give us a call or send us an e-mail, we can help.
There is no better time to reflect on last year, it’s ancient history now. How can you learn from last years results? If they were good, that’s great, but if not, consider how you can make 2005 different, and better!
As the year ends, we wish you happy holidays.
